Me too, using Spartan since the dawn of time, always looking for an alternative now that the author is gone. Nothing can compare. I'm wary of downloading the supposed cloud-based version, afraid it will wipe out my original and its contents. I just back up to a flash drive and carry it from CPU to laptop. Tedious but it's all I got.
I've been using Spartan since way back when it had to be purchased and am heavily dependent on it. I've transferred it on to several machines in the way that David describes with no trouble until Windows 10 which puts the top left corner of the display off screen. Everything that can be seen works but I can't change pages, all of the control keys are off screen!
How do I move it?
Hi, I've used Spartan for a while but suddenly it has stopped working. I've tried contacting the publisher - M8 - seems to have dissapeared. Any thoughts/news?
JayG, the publisher was in a health crisis. I believe it was life threatening and was looking for someone to takeover/purchase the software development. He may have past away since that notice.
Richard, thank you for letting me know. I have been praying for his family but has not come to mind in a while. Again thanks for the update, his efforts in the creation of spartan has been a tremendous help in my daily use. If anyone takes over the software; count me in for purchase updates.
Bill L, he always kept adding and improving spartan r i p I own versions 6,7,8,9,10,14,15,19,21 and spartan 22. I really dont know what to say. John was a genius and version 21 and 22 were light years ahead of spartan 6
David, hi David if you go in to tools menu Five from the bottom or Ctrl+B Make a folder in your old pc and backup to a USB stick or flash drive then go to your new pc and from your USB select the file and hit restore.
